The fast maximum aperture also captures more light to help with low light shooting.

Low distortion 80mm precision-moulded aspherical lens

The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens features a large φ80mm precision-moulded glass aspherical front element. This element effectively minimizes distortion, provides excellent peripheral brightness, and edge to edge sharpness.

FLD and SLD glass elements

Three FLD and four SLD low-dispersion glass elements are used to reduce chromatic aberrations and improve overall image quality.

Super multi-layer coating

A Super multi-layer coating on the lens greatly reduces flare, ghosting, and provides high-contrast for outstanding image quality.
