The Saramonic SR-AX101 is a compact, two-channel XLR audio adapter, which will enable you to record and control professional balanced XLR microphones, wireless microphones, external audio mixers, and preamplifiers onto any DSLR camera, camcorder or sound recorder with a 3.5mm Mini-Jack MIC input.

The SR-AX101 can be attached securely to the base of your DSLR camera / camcorder via ¼” screw thread, and has a ¼” threaded socket underneath the unit to retain the capability of mounting to a tripod.
With two balanced XLR inputs and a 3.5mm mini-jack AUX input it’s possible to record two professional XLR microphones or a combination of a wireless and XLR microphone.
There is one stereo 1/8" (3.5 mm) Mini-Jack output, which connects to the MIC input of your DSLR via a signal transmission line (included with the unit).
The SR-AX101 is a passive device, which means it doesn’t require power or batteries.
Not only is this convenient and economical, but it also prevents the introduction of unwelcome noise to your recording.
To further eliminate the chance of ground hum or noise, is the GND1 / GND2 switch.
The switch eliminates ground hum in certain instances by internally separating or connecting the input ground with the output ground of the adapter.
A LINE / MIC switch allows switching between the appropriate signal level for the device connected to the adapter (MIC for microphones and wireless microphones, LINE for audio mixers and pre-amps) It’s easy shift between mono and stereo recording via the MONO / STEREO switch and with the dual trim control knobs you can independently adjust the left and right channel signal, for optimum audio levels.
