The handle doubles as the mounting point to mount the JM-86 bracket to a light stand, in case you find yourself without an assistant. The bracket can be rotated 90 degrees, making it easy to set it up as a fill or rim light. The adjustment knob on top of the bracket makes fitting several different speedlites a breeze.
