Doing a smooth, cinematic focus-pull by hand is difficult, make the process a whole lot easier by adding a follow focus to your rig. With the follow focus you get a universal geared ring that fits over your lenses focusing ring, which then slots into the gears on the follow focus unit. With a smooth twist of the wheel tracking your focus point has never been easier.
The only thing you would need is a 15mm rod system underneath your camera to mount the follow focus.
